The Discovery Bay Hotel has the benefit of being on the beach and close to local bars, restaurants and entertainment. The hotel sits in 4.5 acres of gardens on St. James Beach on the fashionable and attractive west coast. There are watersports available on the beach and the opportunity to play golf at the nearby Sandy Lane course just a few minutes drive away.

Location
The hotel is 800 metres from Holetown and was originally a plantation house. Holetown, the islands third largest town, has good local facilities, bars, restaurants and even a cricket pitch which regularly has games playing. The capital, Bridgetown, is only 8 miles away.
Accomodation
The resort offers different types of accommodation. Rear Garden Rooms are situated on the ground and first floor with restricted views. Garden Rooms are on the ground and first floors with views across the gardens or pool deck. Beachfront Rooms are located on three floors with direct views across the beach. Beachfront Club Rooms are located in a detached three-storey block with direct sea views, larger, covered patio or balcony, seating area and can accommodate an extra child.
All have: air-conditioning, telephone, cable TV, safe, fridge, hairdryer, bath and shower, one double bed or two twin beds, balcony or terrace.
The accommodation allows for up to four people per Beachfront Club room (3 adults or two adults with two children) or for up to three people per Garden & Beachfront room (3 adults or two adults with one child). Two sets of Interconnecting Garden View rooms are available.
Please note: There is one room available for people with walking difficulties.
Eating and Drinking
Garden – the main, informal restaurant serves traditional Bajan and international buffets. Guests can also use Sugarbird Bar & Grill, located near the pool and the beach, ideal for lunch, afternoon tea and relaxing drinks.
There is also a main bar, next to the Garden Restaurant, open for evening drinks.
ALL-INCLUSIVE
MEALS: Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner- buffet and varied set menu.
DRINKS: A choice of Caribbean cocktails, local beers, soft drinks, house spirits and house wines - by the glass with dinner.
SPORTS AND LEISURE: Regular evening entertainment.
Please note that a la carte meals, snacks, non-house brand wines and spirits and bottled water are excluded and to be paid for locally. No credit or reduction in price is offered on drinks. All other extras including water skiing, scuba diving, sports tuition, telephone calls, laundry, car hire, tours etc. are to be paid for locally.
Please note: Restaurant has a dress code. Breakfast and Lunch - casual T-shirts with sleeves and regular shorts for men, modest wraps for ladies. Dinner - elegant casual with collared shirts, long trousers and shoes for men. Swimwear and sleeveless shirts/vests not permitted. All-inclusive excludes bottled water, champagne, a-la-carte dining and water sports.
