The hotel is located in the centre of Copenhagen, two minutes walk from the town hall square and the entrance to Tivoli gardens. There is a buffet area in the brightly designed hotel atrium, but the main restaurant is located elsewhere on the ground floor. The Brasserie le Coq Rouge was renovated in spring 2005 and is very tastefully decorated in French brasserie style with blue patterned carpets, walls and seating with the mahogany furniture and antique paintings. It was also voted Brasserie of the year 2005 by Danish newspaper Boersen. It is an elegant white stone building with views overlooking the square. A fantastic setting. The lobby and reception area is of medium size and like all of the hotel, is decorated in a traditional and comfortable style, with an impressive antique mahogany welcome desk. This is a very well preserved traditional hotel which has an excellent location.
