The Dolphin Bay Hotel is on the beach of Amoudara, the longest in the Heraklion area and edged with bars, shops, hotels, restaurants and cafes, as well as, local markets. The resort is approximately 4 miles from downtown Heraklion, actually; you are in the center of Heraklion, but on the marvelous, endless private sandy beach of Amoudara surrounded by the hotel's beautiful blossom gardens and relaxing walking space. The complex consists of 259 rooms and apartments distributed over the main building and bungalows and it was last fully-renovated in 2002. Location There is a good selection of watersports available on the beach and a municipal bus connects to the centre of Heraklion every 20 minutes. The hotel is surrounded by an attractive blossom garden and plenty of space. Accomodation All rooms are furnished very tastefully to provide a pleasant and comfortable stay. They all have either; big balconies or verandas with view to the sea or swimming pools or grounds with the hotel's impressive gardens. Rooms are equipped with refrigerator, individual air-conditioning, safety deposit box, hair dryer, private bathroom, WC, and satellite television. Eating and Drinking The hotel has a non smoking restaurant, a self service restaurant, a main bar and a pool bar.
