The Solemar Hotel is in a central but quiet part of Ixia, conveniently positioned close to the resorts shops, bars and restaurants and just 300 metres from the beach. It is a ten minute drive from the historical, yet cosmopolitan Rhodes Town and the area has a good public transport system with a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Daytimes can be spent on the nearby beach or relaxing on the Solemar's spacious pool terrace, only leaving your lounger to taking cooling dips in the pool or grab a snack or drink from the poolside bar. Ixia is a quieter resort with a selection of shops, bars and restaurants, all just a short stroll from the hotel. The beach is a mix of sand, shingle and pebbles and the strong winds along the coastline make it a windsurfer's paradise. The temperatures in summer are comfortable thanks to the cooling breeze.
