Situated on a quiet spot just outside the town of Troulos, the Filia Studios offer ideal accommodation for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday where you are surrounded by the natural beauty of the island and still close enough to visit the fabulous beaches and nearby town. This charming family run complex is located on a hill that overlooks the town and ocean below which although makes for fabulous views from the property means it is not suitable for visitors with walking difficulties. The accommodation is comprised of simple yet spacious and clean studio and one-bedroom apartments that come with self-catering facilities and are ideal for couples and families looking to stay in the area. There are some great facilities and amenities to enjoy during your stay at the complex that includes a large outdoor pool in the centre of the complex and there is a snack & pool bar where along with providing welcome refreshments during the day also offers a buffet breakfast in the mornings. Other activities to keep you entertained during your stay include pool tables and the staff hosts a weekly barbeque that is well worth trying at least once during your stay. The town of Troulos on the western coast of Skiathos is one of the most developed of the tourist areas of the island, situated along a coastal road between Skiathos Town and Koukounaries. It is quite a picturesque town with a scenic landscape of olive trees and its own sandy beach that makes for the perfect place to make the most of the warm Greek sun and there are plenty of chances to try some exciting water sports in the area. You will find a great selection of shops and restaurants to visit in the shopping areas that can fulfil all your holiday needs, although if you are looking for more than the best place would be Skiathos Town. If you are looking to see more of the island then there are several places in Troulos that can arrange car hire for you or alternatively why not try some of the excursions such as boat trips to some of the more secluded areas of the island. Accomodation There are a total of 23 studio rooms and one-bedroom apartments that make up the complex, with the studios able to accommodate up to 3 people and the apartments up to 6 people. Each of the studios and apartments are well-equipped for self-catering with a kitchen area that includes 2 electric cooking rings, a fridge and a kettle along with modern amenities such as air conditioning, safety deposit box and a bathroom with shower and WC. Eating and Drinking Guests can enjoy a range of light meals, snacks and drinks all day from the snack bar that is located near the pool. You can also enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast from the snack bar/café each morning to help get the day off to a good start. If you venture out the short distance to Skiathos Town you will find a great many local tavernas and restaurants to try, serving all kinds of cuisines to suit almost every taste.
