The Sun Tropical-Island Resort is located in a tourist area of Playa Blanca on the island of Lanzarote. The walking distance from the hotel to the Papagayo beach is 900 metres (about 10-15 minutes) which is one of the most attractive on the island with a high range of watersports and a dive centre. There is also a shopping centre just 700 metres (about 10 minutes) from the aparthotel and it is half a mile from the bus station. Arrecife, Lanzarote's capital is 35 miles away and there is a regular hourly bus service, which is not provided by the hotel. The Sun Island has 416 spacious, comfortable and fully equipped apartments housed with a modern, low rise complex with plenty of facilities suitable for all ages. The property is a popular choice with families travelling with children due to the entertainment options such as mini club (allowed only for children aged 4-12, younger children, must be acompanied by an adult) Whilst the little ones are being well looked after adults can make full use of the thalassotherapy spa and enjoy a massage, a soak in the Turkish bath or sweat it out in the sauna.
