Travellers with an old style British passport are being turned away from America down to a clampdown on security which came into action on the 1st of April.
Briton's are expected to have an electronic passport with a chip, which have been issued since October 2006, otherwise they are told to be aware they will not be allowed entry into the USA. Those who are likely to be affected are people who were issued a passport between MAy and October 2006.
