Menorca holidays are all about relaxation in a beautiful landscape of hills and plains, sandy beaches and rocky coves, pine woods and olive groves, orchards and vineyards. Although the islanders have embraced tourism, there are none of the unwelcome excesses that the industry often brings. It is an unspoilt island with a traditional atmosphere that gives a guarantee of summer sun. The south of Menorca has the longest stretches of beaches, the west has small secluded coves, some rocky and some sandy, and the north is the favourite haunt of water sports enthusiasts. Diving and snorkelling are particularly popular sports, as the waters are so clear, the marine life so abundant and there are many wrecks off the coast.

The resorts, without exception, provide high standards of accommodation and their restaurants cater for all tastes. If shopping is limited in your resort, there are buses to Mahon and Cuitadella where there are stores and markets galore. While Menorca nightlife in the towns is fairly lively, it is never raucous, and in most resorts it is very low key.
